Syros Island, Greece – bitter sweet

When we first began planning this three month trip, we chose a very special ending.

It’s an emotional moment when our ferry docks at Erminpolou as we realize that after all these weeks of travelling to amazing places, we’ve now reached our final destination.

Our host Nik is at the Port to greet us and drives us back to the farm which is 13 kms away. Our Villa is lovely, the fridge is well stocked with food and wine and waking up to stunning views of the Agean Sea from our bed this morning, what more do we need?

We’ve enjoyed the Santorini sunsets and the gorgeous shops and alleyways in Mykonos. Now, we’re looking forward to exploring this less touristy island with its churches, museums, theatre, beaches, history and of course lots of cats.

Family members Brenda and Paul are sharing our last week of sun and seaviews on Syros with us. We hope you join us too – why not?
